Feeding Schedule
- Successful breastfeeding is established within the first three weeks of life. This could include feeding on demand or nursing every two hours. Creating a feeding schedule is important for milk production which works by supply and demand.

Latch assistance
- A proper latch is essential for both baby and mom. A good latch is more effective for the baby to remove milk from the mom's breast. A proper latch will help the mom breastfeed without pain. An improper latch can lead to significant nipple pain, cracked nipples and plugged ducts.
Diet assessment
- To ensure good nutrition, breastfeeding mothers should consume at least 2000 calories per day to ensure a robust milk supply.
Breast health education
- Cracked or Sore nipples (red, irritated and scabbed skin on or around the nipple)
- Plugged ducts (A blockage in a milk duct resulting in poor or insufficient draining of the duct)

Flanges
-A flange is a funnel-shaped piece of equipment that suctions the breast during pumping and draws milk from the nipple. The correct size is important for making your pump work for you.
